| "Hoe Down" with the NRPS and the New Lost City Ramblers. This entry is based on detective work presented at Lost Live Dead. Ross Hannan recently unearthed an article (Art Johnson, "Uncommon Common," Berkeley Tribe, August 22-29, 1969, pp. 5, 24) that speaks of this event, though according to Ross (see the LLD link above) it mistakenly refers to the gig as a Tuesday. Of note is the sharing of the bill with the NLCR, who massively influenced Garcia and the rest of his folkie/old-timey coterie in the early 1960s. | |||||||||||||||
